Our Lenticular Postcards 3D High Quality are printed on our Lithographic press. We purchased this press and our CTP (computer to plate) system with lenticular printing in mind. We have special software which allows us to run at very high resolutions. This is needed, especially when printing 3D work. To produce great 3D we need a high number of views so we don’t get any stepping between the images.
The most important part of the 3D lenticular is in the original artwork, if there is no perspective or natural depth in the artwork then it can be more problematic to create a great job, We strongly advise you to contact us to discuss any 3D project.
Once we have a great starting point we will work our magic to create some amazing depth and form using a layer in Photoshop called a depth map, This is a greyscale image that we make in Photoshop, next we make a series of views that we print 4col process and a flood white behind a special lens. When your image is viewed through this lens, it appears to have real depth.
We print the board backing separately and then mount the 2 materials together to give you a double-sided finished product. These postcards can be a great promotional mailout, a great addition to an advertising campaign or simply to promote your brand.
